“If you think in terms of a year, plant a seed; if in terms of ten years, plant trees; if in terms of 100 years, teach the people.” -Confucius

You know where to find it. You know who built it, how it works, and probably how to make one. You love to research, delving into topics, mining the depths until you know it inside and out. Like a fish, you can seamlessly navigate through oceans of data to find morsels of bright knowledge. You chew through references. Your mind is alive and ravenous.

Strengths:

You can unearth and explain the kernels of knowledge out of a mountain of information. You have a knack for distilling complicated theories into their core constituents and transmitting them with unbiased expertise. You are careful and analytical and you see the truth of a situation without emotional distraction.

Weaknesses:

You are prone to isolation and have a tendency to speak to others as if they have the same level of expertise that you do. You can appear aloof, harsh, or cold if you do not temper the vast storehouse of your knowledge with humility and a softer touch. Remember that while knowledge is power, it is best transmitted with respect and care.

Tools:

Library card, museum pass, smartphone, reference books, research files, faculty connections, tweed jacket with elbow patches.

Mantra:

I will create, organize, and present information so it is accessible across all educational and social levels and empowers any who encounter it.

Color:

Yellow. With the luster of gold and the warm glow of the sun, yellow is the color of knowledge. Just as the alchemist seeks to transmute lead into gold, so you seek to transform information into knowledge.
